Hi there,I am writing from the east coast, where I will be for a couple of weeks, and where the seasons are actually changing. I have been taking long walks and watching the trees, and I keep coming back to how little they hold on to. They let the leaves go without any drama, and somehow that is what makes the whole thing look so wise.It is true in life too, isn't it? So much of what is hard is clinging to what has changed instead of welcoming what is next. Lately I am practicing the welcoming part, which includes going to bed earlier (a small revolution) and making a list of my big 3, the three priorities for the rest of the year. Everything else falls away...and that is okay.Welcoming the season also means making home feel a little softer. That is why we are so excited about our Fall Sweepstakes: two lucky winners will receive $1,000+ of cozy home favorites from some of our favorite brands. Enter to win here.It has me thinking about why we started with Awake and Alive, the two oils everything else at Brightland is built on. We named them for what good olive oil does: it wakes up the palate, and it makes food come alive. Awake is the one for making a statement, peppery and bold over a bowl of soup or a simple plate of burrata. Alive is the one for everything else, the daily pour. Taste either next to what most of us have been pouring from a bottle that sat on a shelf for who knows how long, and the difference of a fresh California harvest is hard to un-taste.My mornings right now are Eleven Madison Park’s granola recipe (the best of the best, I promise) that use a good pour of Awake, and a drizzle of our honey. Evenings are calling for a pizza night and You’ve Got Mail. Here’s to the changes worth welcoming. With warmth, Aishwarya
