Happy almost Halloween! We hope your week is off to a sweet start. Here is a little recap of what we were up to: three Soft-Glow Illuminator hacks, the story behind our Vanilla Chantilly lip balm, and a kit exclusive shade you won’t want to miss.

1. Three ways to wear Soft-Glow Illuminator: We created this product as a skincare-first glow enhancer that gives skin a soft, natural-looking radiance. Here are three hacks we will not be gatekeeping:

   • Hack 1: Mix Soft-Glow Illuminator with moisturizer for no makeup days. Wear it alone for light illuminated hydration.

   • Hack 2: Mix Soft-Glow Illuminator with foundation for added hydration. It works beautifully under makeup for a more radiant base that won’t streak or pill.

   • Hack 3: Mix Soft-Glow Illuminator with blush for added glow. Mix it in for a buildable radiance.

2. Why we chose the right vanilla over the strongest vanilla: When we were creating the scents for our Vanilla Chantilly Flavored Ceramide Lip Blur Balm we knew it would take some work to create the perfect vanilla. Here’s the process:

   • We could have made the vanilla smell a lot stronger! We chose not to. Vanilla can need up to 3x as much flavor to achieve a similar scent intensity, but just because we can add more flavor doesn’t mean we should. Why? We’re always thinking about sensitive skin, and scents can be a trigger for irritation. We want our lip balms to smell delicious without being overpowering.

   • What we actually wanted: light and airy, soft and fluffy, the true scent of freshly whipped chantilly cream.The result is a soft, airy vanilla scent that’s intentionally developed with sensitive skin and noses in mind. The goal was never the strongest vanilla. It was the right vanilla.
