1. "Wait, is it plastic?" Technically, it's a bioplastic. Regular plastic comes from crude oil, natural gas or coal (yikes), while ours is a sugarcane-based biopolymer mixed with natural minerals (translation: 100% non-GMO plants and clay). It's also leaves behind no pesky microplastics. Red onions, carrots and yellow peppers on a pink MK Free Board beside a knife stand.
“Can it go in the dishwasher?” It can, every time. No oiling or hand-washing needed, so it goes right in with the rest of your dishes. “Is it safe for raw chicken?” Absolutely. The surface is non-porous, so it’s safe for raw proteins and nothing sinks in. “Is it gentle on my knives?” It’s designed to be. A lightly textured surface is easy on your blade and gives you a little more control with every cut.
