Avionics Updates, Events and Highlights

GARMIN PILOT™ APP LAUNCHES MOBILE CLEARANCE DELIVERY

A new feature being rolled out for Garmin Pilot is designed to let iPhone® or iPad® users seamlessly obtain and cancel IFR clearances on their devices at select U.S. airports1. This text-based interaction minimizes the need for radio or phone communication with ATC, making for a much faster and more efficient clearance delivery process. The service is being previewed at a select number of airports across the country, with nationwide deployment slated for a phased rollout.

NEW AXIS™ FLIGHT DISPLAYS: CERTIFIED AND SHIPPING

Unveiled before EAA AirVenture®, our AXIS integrated flight displays have received FAA supplemental type certification, enabling installation in hundreds of Class I/II piston-powered aircraft. The 11.6" displays are available now, offering PFD, MFD and split-screen functionality, along with optional EIS data. Portrait and landscape 8" displays are expected to be available by early 2027.
