This month's Workshop Wisdom is Amy Dury, a contemporary figurative painter based in Brighton.

Amy works from old photographs, home movies, and library archives; finding figures from the past and turning them into something new. She's looking for suggestion, mystery, and the emotional relationships between people.

She started with her own family album 8 years ago and has since been a guest presenter on Sky Arts ‘Artists Masterclasses’, exhibited internationally, and worked with Hèrmes.
