Kyoku just went through a full rebuild. From the protein source to the fiber, and a couple brand new additions that weren't in the original formula at all.
Here's what's changed and why it’s changed:
30 grams of protein, almost double the original - The jump comes from a shift to whey isolate, whey concentrate, and collagen, which means a more complete amino acid profile with more of the leucine that muscles need to rebuild after training.
Creatine built in - A full 5-gram dose of creatine now comes included in each serving. That’s the same amount used in the actual strength and power research. No more extra creatine tub on the counter or trying to remember if you took your creatine today.
PeptiStrong® peptide - This is new to the formula: a novel peptide studied for its role in muscle protein synthesis and recovery signaling. It works alongside the whey and collagen rather than duplicating them, targeting the same rebuild process through a separate pathway.
Easier on the stomach, less bloat - The fiber source switched to soluble tapioca fiber, replacing the original whole-food fiber load. The change was made to help ease digestion and reduce bloating that some higher-fiber shakes can cause.
10 superfoods - Beet root, spinach, kale, tart cherry, and the rest of the superfood blend carried over, but they also added 600mg of Ashwagandha for stress resilience.
In summary, more protein, creatine included, a new recovery peptide, better digestion, and added stress resilience from Ashwagandha. The new Kyoku smashed it.
