Showing our work on carbon
Automakers measure carbon footprints differently, which makes them hard to compare. Our Product Sustainability team led the SAE International task force to establish SAE J3341™, a common reporting standard for the automotive sector.
We believe accountability starts with showing our work. Since 2024, we’ve measured, updated and published the full lifecycle carbon footprint of our entire lineup. Starting with R2, our upcoming reports will include this new standard, and we’ll keep advocating for clear, comparable data across mobility.
