Weight-loss surgery has long carried warnings about vitamin deficiencies. GLP-1s generally haven’t.
But new data from more than 2 million adults suggests the method might matter less than how much you lose, which determines the gaps in your nutrition.
Across surgery, GLP-1s, and other weight-loss medications, larger weight loss was linked to more cases of diagnosed vitamin deficiencies.
